The Brooklyn Nets (23-27) spoil Dlo's return by beating the Golden State Warriors (12-40), 129-88.

It’s an interconference clash on the parquet floor in the Big Apple. The Golden State Warriors are on the road as they travel to face the Brooklyn Nets Wednesday night. Golden State comes in off a 125-117 road win over Washington in their previous contest Monday night. Brooklyn rolled past Phoenix 119-97 at home on Monday night in their last game. The Warriors own a 54-36 advantage in the all-time regular season series between the teams and have won the last eight matchups. That includes a 116-100 win at home in the most recent matchup on November 10, 2018.

Golden State Warriors Looking to Earn Third Straight Road Win
Golden State strung together back to back road wins as they downed Washington after dropping Cleveland Saturday night. The Warriors entered Tuesday in the cellar of the Pacific Division, 26.5 games behind the Lakers for the top spot. In the Western Conference playoff picture, the team is last, 13.5 games behind the Grizzlies for the final playoff spot. Golden State led by four after one quarter and found themselves tied with two minutes to play in the first half. The Warriors utilized a 21-4 run over a near six-minute span covering the end of the first half and the start of the second to take a 17-point lead. Their lead didn’t drop below five the rest of the way. Golden State shot 49.4 percent from the floor, including 15 of 30 from three-point range, and held a 44-35 rebound advantage to offset Washington shooting 50.6 percent in the game. Alec Burks led the Warriors with 30 points off the bench in the win.

The Warriors are 25th in the league in scoring offense with an average of 106.5 points per game on the year. Golden State is 22nd in rebounding by collecting 43.6 boards a night and stands 11th by dishing out 25.2 assists per contest. The Warriors have been terrible defensively, ranking 22nd in the league as they allow 114.4 points per game. D’Angelo Russell leads the team with 23.8 points and 6.3 assists per game this season. Eric Paschall (13.5 points), Alec Burks (16.1 points), Damion Lee (11.9 points, five rebounds) and Glenn Robinson (12.9 points, 4.7 rebounds) are solid scoring options. Draymond Green has to step up and be more productive in order to try to lead this young group. Golden State shoots 43.2 percent from the floor as a team on the year, which is tied for 29th in the league. The Warriors are tied for 26th in the league as they connect on 10.5 three-pointers a night while ranking 23rd as they are shooting 34.6 percent from beyond the arc. Stephen Curry is out with a broken hand after playing just four games. He currently is targeting a March 1 return. Kevon Looney (abdomen) is likely out for this game. That has put a ton of pressure on young guys like Jordan Poole, Ky Bowman and Omari Spellman, among others.

Brooklyn Nets Looking to Maintain Playoff Position
Brooklyn won for the third time in four games as they had little problem dispatching the Suns, who were playing the second game of a back to back. The Nets entered Tuesday fourth in the Atlantic Division, 13.5 games behind the Raptors for the top spot. In the Eastern Conference playoff picture, the team holds the seventh seed, 4.5 games ahead of the ninth-place Bulls to remain in the playoff picture. Brooklyn led by four after the opening quarter and by three at the half. The Nets pulled away with an 18-2 third-quarter run to put the Suns in a hole they couldn’t climb out of. Brooklyn shot 48.3 percent from the field, including 15 of 34 from three-point range, and overcame 17 turnovers in the game. Caris LeVert led the Nets with 29 points and seven assists in his first start in three months.

The Nets enter this contest 18th in the league by averaging 110.3 points per game on the year. Brooklyn is third in the league in rebounding by pulling down 47.8 boards a night while they are 17th by dishing out 23.9 assists per game. The Nets are 19th in scoring defense as they allow 111.8 points per game this year. Kyrie Irving leads the team with 27.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists a night on the season. Caris LeVert chips in 14 points per contest while Spencer Dinwiddie contributes 21.3 points and 6.4 assists a game. Joe Harris (13.7 points), Garrett Temple (10.2 points) and Taurean Prince (12.4 points, 6.4 rebounds) are solid contributors while Jarrett Allen (11.3 points, 9.7 rebounds) pairs with DeAndre Jordan to provide a pair of serviceable big men in the paint. Brooklyn is tied for 23rd in field goal percentage by shooting 44.5 percent from the field as a team this season. The Nets are 9th in threes per game by knocking down 12.8 triples per contest while ranking 26th in the league by hitting 34.2 percent from beyond the arc on the year. Irving sustained a sprained knee against the Wizards February 1 and is expected to miss at least a week.

The Brooklyn Nets are an American professional basketball team based in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The Nets compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference. The team plays its home games at Barclays Center. They are one of two NBA teams located in New York City; the other is the New York Knicks. The team was established in 1967 as a charter franchise of the NBA’s rival league, the American Basketball Association (ABA). They played in New Jersey as the New Jersey Americans during their first season, before moving to Long Island in 1968 and changing their name to the New York Nets. During this time, the Nets won two ABA championships (in 1974 and 1976). In 1976, the ABA merged with the NBA, and the Nets were absorbed into the NBA along with three other ABA teams (the San Antonio Spurs, Indiana Pacers, and Denver Nuggets, all of whom remain in the league today).

In 1977, the team returned to New Jersey and played as the New Jersey Nets from 1977 to 2012. During this time, the Nets won two consecutive Eastern Conference championships (in the 2001–02 and 2002–03 seasons), but failed to win a league title. In the summer of 2012, the team moved to Barclays Center, and took its current geographic name.[10]
