They managed to snap a five-game losing run with a surprising home win over the Denver Nuggets, but the Pistons lost the following game to the Memphis Grizzlies on the road. The Pistons now dropped to an 18-34 record and are in 11th place in the Eastern Conference.
These inter-conference rivals met twice last season, and the Pistons won both encounters. Detroit was better in eight of the previous nine H2H duels.
The Suns struggled in the second half in a loss to the Nets
Phoenix scored only 45 second-half points and allowed 64 in a 119-97 road defeat to the Brooklyn Nets, the Suns’ third straight loss. “We just lost a bit of our poise tonight,” Suns coach Monty Williams said. “It was a three-point game at the half and we didn’t make shots in the third.”
